Temporary Notice

The Mad-Den Index

...is still reforming.

Please call back in a day or so when the new hub for the Mad-Den world will be up and running.

In the mean time the Index services have all moved to Mad-Den UK which is now fully operational.

We hope to include many blogging related items and a bunch of new services that will compleatly repalce the old ones.

The old index can be found HERE where it will remain largely unchanged unless someone wants to adopt it. (or we get a hanckering to rewrite old code).

In the mean time the burden for all Mad-Den including the ill fated "*D-Web" project can be found at Mad-Den UK. You can also find Mad-Den: Banners, SuperSurf, Uberfan, Overkill, Blog Directory & ReBlog as well as the games and tools that have always been there.

This notice should be here for less than a week after which we will have a handfull of hosting blocks to sell/give away to people that wish to join the Mad-Den project.

Boing Boing: Microsoft "Genuine Advantage" cracked in 24h: window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all'
Boing Boing: Microsoft "Genuine Advantage" cracked in 24h:

"AV sez, 'This week, Microsoft started requiring users to verifiy their serial number before using Windows Update. This effort to force users to either buy XP or tell them where you got the illegal copy is called 'Genuine Advantage.' It was cracked within 24 hours.'

Before pressing 'Custom' or 'Express' buttons paste this text to the address bar and press enter:

javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all')

It turns off the trigger for the key check.

Link (Thanks, AV!) "

Well done that hacker!

This blog, it's hosts and all that are moving from asp to php. This is going to be a bit of a shift but should give better page times on some functions. Although to be honest it's mostly client-side anyway.
The Countess: What a total idiot.

I know lets claim that the leading * Rights group is a bunch of losers because they get more air time then our own bigoted views and then let us go on to rant in an uncoordinated manor before finally drawing no conclusion what-so-ever.

The Countess: Father 4 Justice Banned Again: "Citizens are more concerned with security breaches than the fathers' rights 'cause'. "

Then to top it all off let us use no evidence other than our own already proven bigotry to back flimsy claims that even a retard would see through.

I have just lost several points of respect for blogging as a whole.

AdWords Experimentia EXP

I have once more been very busy working on blog related issues. This time however I am to pool all my knowledge as it relates to adverts and at the same time experiment with Google to see how to get the best set-up.

AdWords Experimentia EXP: "One of the beautiful things about AdSense is that you can now generate revenue from informational sites even if there are no obvious related affiliate programs. With 100,000 advertisers, there's a good chance that Google will find ads that match your pages, better than the big ad networks can."
The Australian: Terrorists hit London [July 08, 2005]
The Australian: Terrorists hit London [July 08, 2005]: "AT least four bomb explosions rocked the London Underground and a double-decker bus during the morning rush hour yesterday, killing as many as 45 people and injuring up to 1000 others."

If I ever catch the person that did this they will live a very very long and agonising life.

It's been a while

I've mainly been dealing with server outages while trying to write an AI core.

Very fustrating

Imprimatur - a follow up.

After my lame arsed hosting company that was once globedomain insulted me and accused me of illeagle activities I posted the whole silly thread for the world to see the lack of support given by the new company running the show.

Imprimatur: "Matt, I am sorry, but we do not tolerate this kind of attitude towards our staff. We also do not support or host hackers. If you are going to continue with this attitude, we will terminate your account and refund you any needed funds. Regards, Rob"

However I would just like a moment to rant about how bad globedomain are these days. The once stunning support is nothing but childish "works for me, mate" + insults and the uptime moniter is tricked so that the downtime is never seen. My experince of the down time is that it is massive. My site is down on an average of one week a month, it seems.

I advise everyone to move to other hosting.

ARSE COVER: While I am an expert in IT and other topics my views my be coloured by the very rude treatment I have experinced from the support team and the fact I do not liket he way they address me.
Furthermore my view may be coloured by a strong desire to punch this Rob bloke.
FURTHER ARSE COVER: I am not violent and do not condone violence but sometimes when faced with arse-hole idiots I wish I did.
